ESPOLY Admission Requirements for all Courses.
REMEDIAL PROGRAMME (SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY)
This is a one year preparatory programme for Candidates who are academically deficient in admission requirements into the National Diploma (Agricultural
Technology and Agro-Entrepreneurship) Programme.
Offered under this programme are the following subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Farm Practical, Geography, Technical Drawing, Physical and Health Education.
Entry Requirements:
Eligible for admission into the Remedial Programme are Candidates with at least four (4) passes in NECO, WASC or SSCE in the following subjects:
Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Agricultural Science.
COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURAL TECHNOLOGY
Candidates must possess the following qualifications: Pass in West African School Certificate, General Certificate of Education, National Examination
Council of Nigeria, Teachers Grade I Certificate or its equivalent; in Biology or Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Mathematics and English Language. Credit
passes in any of the above listed subjects as well as Geography, Economics, Physics or Technical Drawing will be an advantage.
NATIONAL DIPLOMA PROGRAMME
This is a two year programme designed to produce Agricultural Technologists capable of applying modern techniques in agricultural production for commercial
farming and promotion of agro-entrepreneurship in Nigeria. The National Diploma Programme is offered in the following Departments:
Agricultural Technology, Agricultural Extension &Management, Animal Health & Production Technology
Fisheries Technology, Horticulture Technology.
Entry Requirements:
Agricultural Technology
i. Five SSCE/NECO/GCE O’ Level Credit Passes in English Language, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology or Agricultural Science and any one of the following: Geography, Physics, Food and Nutrition, Economics, Statistics and one Nigerian Language at not more than two sittings.
ii. UTME Subjects required are: English Language, Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science and any other subject with UTME score of 120 and above.
Animal Health and Production Technology:
i. Five SSCE/NECO/GCE O’ Level Credit Passes in English Language, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology or Agricultural Science and any one of the following: Geography, Physics, Food and Nutrition, Economics, Statistics and one Nigerian Language at not more than two sittings.
ii. UTME Subjects required are: English Language, Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science and any other subject with UTME score of 120 and above.
Horticulture Technology:
i. Five SSCE/NECO/GCE O’ Level Credit Passes in English Language, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics and any one subject from: Biology or Agricultural Science, Technical Drawing, Basic Electronics/Basic Electricity, Auto Mechanics, Metal Work, Wood Work (for Civil Engineering Technology), Further Mathematics, Geography, Economics or Commerce at not more than two sittings.
ii. UTME Subjects required are: English Language, Mathematics and any two of Chemistry, Physics or Technical Drawing with UTME score of 120 and above.
HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA
This is a 2 year Programme offered in Agricultural Extension and Management.
Entry Requirements:
i. OND in Agricultural Technology or other related disciplines with a minimum of Lower Credit Pass.
ii. WASC, SSCE, NECO, GCE O’ Level or TCII with a minimum of five Credits in not more than two sittings as below:
(a)Credit in Biology or Agricultural Science (b) Credit in Chemistry or Physics (c) Credit in English Language and Mathematics or (d) At least a Pass in English Language and Mathematics
iii. Evidence of one year post National Diploma cognate Work Experience.
COLLEGE OF BUSINESS MANAGEMENT TECHNOLOGY
NATIONAL DIPLOMA PROGRAMME
This is a two year programme designed to produce Agricultural Technologists capable of applying modern techniques in agricultural production for commercial
farming and promotion of agro-entrepreneurship in Nigeria. The National Diploma Programme is offered in the following Departments: Accountancy, Banking and Finance.

i. Five SSCE/NECO/GCE O’ Level Credit Passes in English Language and Mathematics and any three subjects from the following: Economics or Commerce, Business Methods, Principles of Accounts, Literature in English, Geography, Office Practice, Government, Biology or Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Physics, History or Government, Typewriting or Shorthand at not more than two sittings.
ii. UTME Subjects required are: English Language, Mathematics and any two of Geography, Commerce, Government, Principles of Account or Economics with UTME score of 120 and above.
Banking and Finance:
i.
