Firstly, the Janssen Global Mental Health Scholarship fund came into existence in 2012. This happened through the generous donation from Janssen Pharmaceutical (part of the Johnson and Johnson Family of Companies). So, this Johnson & Johnson MSc Global Mental Health Scholarships funds started in 2018. it provided an additional 18 scholarships over a period of 5 years. Therefore, this is an annual award until this year 2022. That is the 2022-2023 academic year.

Meaning that this scholarship is from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. And they are offering the Johnson & Johnson MSc Global Mental Health Scholarships to up to 3 students that got accepted into the 2022-2023 MSc Global Mental Health Program.

How to apply
Here, you must complete some steps before the scholarship closing date

Step 1

Firstly, submit an application for study for the MSc Global Mental Health program with the required documents. You must do this through the King’s College London online application portal

Step 2

Furthermore, the scholarship application documents must include:

Either of the following two:

Proof of your application submission for MSc in Global Mental Health for 2022-2023. This can be in PDF format or a screenshot of your submission confirmation email.

Letter of offer from KCL for 2022-2023 MSc Global Mental Health program.

English Language proficiency score results if you have this already. (if you do not have it yet, then you must obtain one and submit it before or on Wednesday, May 25, 2022).

Importantly, incomplete applications for either step will not be accepted.

Funding selection process

Shortlisted candidates for the scholarship will be invited over for an interview but it will be a zoom meeting

The notification of the results and stages will be announced on the 25th of April 2022

The interview will hold Mid May

Upload your proof of English Language proficiency via the J&J Scholarship application portal at the time of submission. Or send an email to the MSc Global Mental Health program director.

Important information
However, if you do not submit your proof of English Language proficiency by the slated date, you will no longer be considered for the scholarship.

Finally, you will receive a notification of the final result of your application by Friday, May 27, 2022.
